Here are some examples. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88fc345 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"88fc345\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Melting Metal: Developing Typecraft<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1dd290c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1dd290c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Students from the Expert Class Type Design 2022\u20132023 published a booklet about their research into the relationship between established production frameworks for Renaissance and Baroque fonts and the unique style and techniques of punch cutters from those historical periods.<\/p>\n<p>The research raises fascinating questions, such as whether these punch cutters can be considered letter designers in the modern sense of the word or rather <em>type refiners<\/em>, who consciously or unconsciously altered the established frameworks of their predecessors. It contains an overview of digital revivals based on the work of four prominent punch cutters from different style periods, and details the processes that produced them. Includes valuable descriptions of the interactions and collaborative methods among the students.  <\/p>\n<p>The booklet is on sale for \u20ac10 + postage at plantin.instituut@antwerpen.be.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ac7bde9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ac7bde9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Rosart Project<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5d501ad elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5d501ad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Hundreds of hours of in-depth investigation, meticulous drawing, discussion and testing finally resulted in a comprehensive series of advanced digital revivals: The Rosart Project.<\/p>\n<p>The Rosart Project is a comprehensive research project led by Walda Verbaenen, Michel Par\u00e9 and Lukas Schneider. It originated from a group project of the Expert Class [oc Course?] Type Design 2014\u20132015, supervised by our lecturer Dr Frank Blokland. This project focused on the works of Jacques-Fran\u00e7ois Rosart, an 18th-century Belgian typefounder, and resulted in a comprehensive series of digital revivals of his text and display types, including decorative capitals and ornaments. <\/p>\n<p>This collection, created through thorough research and design, is the most comprehensive collection of Rosart&#8217;s work to date. The role of Dr Blokland and the Plantin Institute of Typography was essential in supporting this research and design initiative, thus securing the historical and aesthetic value of Rosart&#8217;s typography for future generations. <\/p>\n<p>Want more information? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosart.nl\">Check out the website of The Rosart Project<\/a>. The photo shows a group of international students from AP College (Academy of Fine Arts) during a show-and-tell on 1 April 2022.
