However, the skill levels of the students vary greatly: some work with InDesign on a daily basis and are highly proficient, while others are new to the program or have only basic knowledge. <\/p>\n<p>This year, students can attend online InDesign lessons to reach the level necessary to successfully complete the program. For some, this means starting with the basics, while for others, it\u2019s about technical tips and tricks to make working with InDesign more efficient. <\/p>\n<p>Part 1 of the lessons will end in December 2024 and includes an overview of InDesign, professional workspace and preference setup, step-by-step design of an illustrated book, and delivering a clean, print-ready PDF.<\/p>\n<p>Part 2 begins in January 2024, with Rosie taking on a more coaching-focused role. In this phase, students\u2019 practical questions take center stage. Part 2 runs until the summer, allowing students to seek advice during their final project.  <\/p>\n<p>Rosie Gaynor is familiar with the Plantin Institute of Typography, having enthusiastically attended a course there herself. This course turned out to be her gateway to a full-time job as a graphic designer at a major publishing house in Seattle.
