artin Majoor has been working as a graphic designer since the 1980s. While he has designed books, postage stamps, and posters, he is best known for his type designs, including Scala, Nexus, and Questa. The numerous books he has designed, ranging from poetry to complex scientific works, have earned him several awards in The Best Dutch Book Designs.
Majoor shares his expertise by teaching typography at various art academies worldwide. He also speaks at conferences on type and design, and his articles on typography have appeared in publications such as Eye, Page, and Parenthesis. Additionally, he has contributed to several books on typography. Majoor alternates his work between Arnhem and Berlin.
