General
1.1. The following general terms and conditions apply to all courses organized by the Plantin Institute.
1.2. Anyone who enrolls in a course at the Plantin Institute is deemed to have read and accepted these general terms and conditions.
1.3. The text of these general terms and conditions is available on the website of the Plantin Institute.
1.4. These general terms and conditions take absolute precedence unless expressly and in writing deviated from in a separately concluded agreement.
2.1. Outgoing invoices are payable thirty days after the invoice date. Payment must be made immediately if the period between enrollment and the start of the course is less than 30 days.
2.2. In the event of non-payment of the amount due by the due date, the student shall owe an administrative fee of 50 euros in addition to the outstanding debt.
2.3. The non-payment of an invoice by the due date shall result in the immediate enforceability of all outstanding invoices and accounts.
3.1. Cancellation of an enrollment can only be made by registered letter or by electronic mail (email).
3.2. Cancellation of enrollment for long-term courses:

– For cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the full registration fee is due.
3.4. Up to 10 working days before the start of the course, an alternative participant may be proposed by the participant wishing to cancel their enrollment. If this candidate meets the applicable requirements and their application is accepted by the Plantin Institute, the enrollment can be transferred. An administrative fee of 50 euros will be charged for this.
4.1. The Plantin Institute reserves the right to cancel a course, reschedule it, or change its modalities or location if circumstances require it.
4.2. In the event of a course cancellation, the Plantin Institute will refund the student the full amount of the enrollment fee paid.
5.1. If the start date of a course is postponed by more than three months, the student has the right to request a full refund of the enrollment fee paid.
5.2. In the event of a postponement of a course by a maximum of three months, the student may cancel their registration upon payment of 10% of the registration fee, with a minimum of 50 euros, as compensation for administrative costs.
6.1. Both parties commit to pursuing an amicable settlement in the event of a dispute.
6.2. Belgian law applies to the legal relationship between the Plantin Institute and its clients.
6.3. All disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Antwerp.
