Lecturer(s)

Alex Feenstra

This short course is specifically designed to highlight the technical aspects that are often overlooked.

As an experienced professional in image editing, lithography, and color management, Alex Feenstra will guide you through the complex world of prepress and printing techniques. Topics covered include the pros and cons of digital versus offset printing, the creation of grayscale and color in print, as well as preflighting and exporting documents for a predictable and high-quality result.

This course pairs perfectly with Industrial Binding by Patrick Bakermans.

To make everything more tangible, we will also visit a printing house and a bindery on Monday, December 16, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Practical Information

This short course is part of the one-year program Typography & Book, but it can also be taken as a standalone course.

A basic knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is required.

Costs

Tuition fee: €380.
