As an independent institute with a unique vision, we offer an exclusive blend of theoretical knowledge, historical context, contemporary technical insights, and practical skills. Our training program is rich and diverse, covering the historical, aesthetic, and functional aspects of typography, as well as everything that contemporary graphic communication entails, from concept to final product.

Our mission is to attract a wide range of motivated students from around the world who wish to deepen their knowledge of typography. Designers, publishers, professionals from the book industry, technicians, and individuals from the graphic industry, audiovisual media, and ICT sectors are all welcome.

Named after Christoffel Plantin, the greatest and most important printer-publisher of the 16th century, our institute continues his legacy of quality and innovation. Located within and closely collaborating with the Museum Plantin-Moretus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Antwerp, the Plantin Institute of Typography is a hub of knowledge, skill, and inspiration, deeply rooted in a rich historical legacy.
