f there is one place where typography is core business, it is in newspapers and magazines.
Typography helps guide the reader through an immense amount of information. Typefaces, point sizes, and layout on a newspaper or magazine page help the reader find their way.
The classic printed medium of newspapers and magazines still holds an essential place in our media consumption today. We do see that everything that appears on paper receives a digital translation more often. A translation that also influences the designs for paper.
The challenge of creating clarity every day in that vast amount of information has kept designer Jan Paul van der Wijk busy for many years. Anyone who works with newspapers and magazines, whether as a reader or creator, is naturally a lover of typography.
This class is part of the one-year Typography & Book course, but it can also be taken separately.
Tuition Fee: € 380.
Discounts are available if you combine multiple short courses within the same year.
